William Rogers Construction was established back in 1975 by William Rogers the eldest of nine children from a farming family in the Mournes.
The first office of William Rogers Construction was at home in Annalong which then relocated to Belfast, Shaftesbury Square in the early 1980’s where William made his base for 30 years before returning to Mourne in 2010.
In the early days William Rogers Construction carried out work for the NIHE throughout Belfast, built many homes and completed many refurbishments.
2010 saw the start of Sawhill Park in Annalong, William Rogers Construction’s first housing development which became home for 93 families both locals and many who decided to settle in the Mournes, this is something we are very proud of.
Then came the time for William Rogers to pass on his legacy. This seen his youngest son Damien take over the name and reinvent the company in many ways, now known as WRC.
With Damien’s vision, knowledge and skill, projects of all sizes and value are undertaken and completed to the highest of standards and within budget both within the public and private sectors, some of which include projects for The Education Authority, Councils, Queen University, Churches and Health Trusts. Some of which have won prestigious awards in the construction industry.
Over the past 50 years, WRC has provided both employment and opportunities to many people both local to Mourne and throughout Northern Ireland and continue to do so.
The company mission statement “Inspired by the past, building in the present for future generations” is truly a reflection of what WRC means both now and over the years gone past.
We are delighted to be celebrating this milestone in 2025 and hope for many more successful years at WRC to come in the future.
